In The Past

Philippians 3:13-14, Psalms 23:3, 37:1-5, 51:1-2, 119:164-165, II Corinthians 4:7-18

Many people choose to live each day in the problems, challenges and trials of the past. Rather than learning the lessons from the past they choose to focus on the troubles of the past thus giving up each day as they worry over the days gone by. No matter what one does they cannot get the yesterdays back to do over again. Oh, yes, one can learn and change as a result of the past as many defining moments have come and gone. It is imperative that the followers of Christ:

  • Trust in the Lord each day

  • Believe God knows all the details of life

  • Know and practice prayer

  • Remember that there is a day of accountability

So, we must learn from yesterday and go on in victory and joy as we do His will in all things.

Prayer: Lord, I do thank You for everything and for Your grace and strength to continue.

Project: List all the events of the past that seem to demand your focus and surrender them to the Lord and His will.
