Life is for Service
Romans 12:1-2, II Timothy 2:3-4, I Corinthians 9:24-27, Colossians 3:23
There are many events in life for the believer as God brings and allows people and opportunities to come in one’s daily path. It is in these events that the believer is becoming more Christ-like through sanctification. In this transformation, God is performing more of what He desires to demonstrate to the world. The believer must remember that:
Life is short (James 4:14)
They belong to God (I Corinthians 7:23)
Stewardship is vital (Matthew 25:14)
Choices are important (Joshua 15:22)
There is a day of accounting (Romans 14:10)
There is great joy in serving and following the Lord as one invests in others through the many opportunities He brings into life each day. Also, it is in this that one is building up treasures in heaven. Yes, life is for service to our Lord, so one must be careful to obey and follow the Lord’s leading. As it has been said, “life is for service.”
Prayer: Lord, I yield again to Your leading. Help me to serve You this day.
