Rejoice in the Lord

Philippians 4:4-7, Psalms 32:11, 118:24, Isaiah 61:10, Romans 12:12, I Thessalonians 5:16-18

One of the ways that believers can influence their world is to “rejoice in the Lord.”  However, unfortunately, many believers live each day grumbling and complaining instead of rejoicing.  It is not that they are expected to laugh all day and tell jokes but their life, words, and conduct should reflect the working and leading of God in their life.  The believer can rejoice as they:

  • Reflect on the promises of God

  • Review the works of God in their life

  • Read the Bible

  • Rest in the ways of God

  • Roll their burdens on the Lord

Rejoice… be happy in the Lord.  In a world of questions, problems, and challenges the believer can be a great influence for the Lord as they rejoice in Him.  So, how would our friends, family, and associations rate us today in rejoicing?

Prayer: Lord, forgive me for focusing on problems, hurts, and pain and guide me to rejoice in You today.
