How To Be Stable
Psalms 37:1-40, 62:2, 103:19, Isaiah 26:4, Psalms 119:165
Mankind is looking today for events, pills, careers and more that will make them stable for life. However, in this world of sin it soon becomes evident that one cannot be stable unless they have turned their life over to the Lord and are living by the Bible. All of the worldly paths for stability lead to frustration, problems, and difficulties. Many people live in danger because they are trying to find in this world that which can only be found in Him who is out of this world. It is as one responds and behaves in obedience to the Lord and the Bible that stability is implanted in their life by the presence of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. It is not that they will never have problems or difficulties, but in those challenges they can be stable in the Lord and His Word. This does not mean one is perfect or sinless, but it does mean that they can be secure, stable and safe in the Lord and the Bible.
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for seeking to find stability in things of this world.
Project: List the areas that give you security and stability and determine how God would have you respond to each one.
