An Attractive Vessel

II Corinthians 4:1-7, I Corinthians 6:19-20, Jeremiah 18:4, Acts 5:29, Matthew 5:13-16

One’s attention is often attracted to a dish or vessel… especially if you are a collector of old dishes and vessels.  The Christian is supposed to be attractive to the world to demonstrate the work of Christ in, on, and through their life.  A believer is attractive to the world by:

  • The way they live

  • The words they speak

  • The way they respond

  • Their concern for others

  • Their life honors the Lord

As the Christian lives and moves in this corrupt world, they have the responsibility of being an attractive vessel. This is done by daily reading, meditating on, and applying the Bible to life. People are looking for an attractive “old clay vessel” today that demonstrates the presence and power of Christ in their life.  It would be good to read Matthew 5:13-16 and commit again to being a “vessel of honor” before your world today.

Prayer: Lord, work in and on my life today so that I would be a “vessel of honor” to You.
