Not Alone

I Corinthians 2:5-9, Isaiah 30:21, Jeremiah 29:11, Philippians 4:13, I John 5:4, Joshua 1:9

As David stood in the valley facing Goliath and the armies watched, he must have felt alone. He had told the giant that he was coming in the name of God but there was no one with him.  He trusted the living, eternal God to be with him and give him the strength he needed to do what only God could do.  So it is as we face trials, troubles, and challenges of this day.  It is imperative that we remember God is with us.  On many occasions, we must pray as the prophet did for his servant, that our spiritual eyes would be opened so we could see and be reminded that God is with us and we are not alone.  God gives:

  • Strength

  • Wisdom

  • Courage

  • Stamina

And much more as we trust and obey Him.  It is as the hymn writer of old wrote, “trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.”

Prayer: Oh my God, open my spiritual eyes to see Your presence and be reminded I am not alone, You are with me.
