Need

Isaiah 40:28-31, Romans 15:5, Psalms 27:1, 138:3, I Corinthians 4:16, II Timothy 1:7

Some days it seems like one runs out of strength and to continue on is with great difficulty.  Friends are gone, the phone does not ring, and the days seem to get longer as the emptiness of one’s time is more predominant. Many of the world’s ideas may be tried only to leave one empty and in need.  It is in these times of need that the believer finds again that God is the only One who:

  • Gives strength in the night

  • Conquers all the fears

  • Gives direction and wisdom

  • Speaks to the inner person

  • Reminds one of His power and presence

It is as Dr. Francis Grubbs wrote, “as my weakness increases and I wait before God binding myself to Him, He exchanges His strength for my weaknesses. Praise God, we can still soar like eagles and face our day’s challenges without fainting.”

Prayer: Lord, thank You for knowing all things and being who and what I need today.
