Going to God

Often we go to others for help and wisdom, which may be appropriate.  However, we must be sure that our hearts, mind, and life are centered and settled on God as we listen to others and make decisions and choices.  We are instructed in the Bible to:

  • Rest in God

  • Bring our petitions to God

  • Read the Word to know God

  • Wait on the Lord

Going to God and waiting on His leading is easier said than done as often we try to solve or fix the situations immediately. However, God has much more in His plan and the believer must wait, obey, and trust Him to move and lead as He knows what is best for everyone involved to bring Him the most glory.

Prayer: God, forgive me for the times I ran ahead to solve challenges on my own. Give me Your wisdom and power to do Your will today.
