Happy in the Lord Today

Psalms 16:8-9, 30:5, 144:15, Ecclesiastes 9:7 Proverbs 10:28, Matthews 5:13-16

In a world of fear, problems, questions, and challenges a happy believer is a great demonstration of God’s provisions and blessings.  It is not that one is telling jokes or laughing all the time, but they have and demonstrate what the Apostle Paul speaks of in Philippians 4:7 as “the peace of God which passed all understanding.”  A great sign-demonstration to those who do not know God is when a believer shows this peace and happiness.  It is not that the believer talks or acts uncaringly but their trust and reliance on the Lord is reflected in their daily words and conduct.  As Nehemiah wrote, “…the joy of the Lord is our strength.”  So, when many are worried and confused the one who trusts in the Lord can be “happy” to know that God cares.

Prayer: thank You Lord for the multitude of blessings You have showered on my life and guide me to show my world Your joy today.
