Think on God
Psalms 19:14, 1:1-3, l04:34, Proverbs 23:7, Isaiah 26:3, Colossians 3:1-2, 16
The mind is filled with a great variety of thoughts that can either distract from the ways of God or draw one to Him. It has been said that a person has thousands of thoughts per day and that the mind is overloaded and fed corrupt and evil thoughts. To set the mind (Colossians 3:1-2) in the right direction one must intentionally do so by:
Meditating on all that God has done
Meditating on who God is
Meditating on the power of God
Meditating on the person of God
Setting one’s mind, as Paul instructs, is a powerful and determined response of obedience. The human mind feeds the inner person and in turn, directs life. It is vitally important that the believer invests time to think about God’s Word, presence, power, love, and much more as the mind is filled with the person of God.
Prayer: Lord, I do focus my mind on Your power and presence and thank You for all that You have done for me and are doing even at this moment.
